Once an airline ticket or other travel reservation has been issued, any further help you ask for is a post-ticketing service. This page sets out the service fees that can apply to such requests, including changes, cancellations, refunds, reissues, exchanges, adjustments to an itinerary and other booking-related assistance.
Every post-ticketing request is governed by the fare rules and conditions of the airline, hotel, car rental company or other supplier concerned. Any SkySparrows service fee is charged in addition to, and separately from, a fee or penalty set by the supplier.
We recognize that some situations are out of the ordinary. If you are affected by a bereavement, a serious travel disruption, military orders or an accessibility-related need, contact our support team and we will look at your case individually.
Exceptions, waivers, discounts and other special consideration depend on the supplier's policies, on supporting documents and on approval by the airline or travel provider. Making a request does not guarantee that it will be granted.
After work on a requested service has started or been completed, the service fee may be non-refundable, unless the booking terms provide differently.
Post-ticketing service fees do not include penalties, fare differences, taxes or other charges imposed by an airline or supplier in connection with your request.
Government taxes, airline fees and supplier charges can change without notice. You are responsible for the final amount communicated or displayed before the transaction is completed.
Whether a booking can be cancelled or refunded is decided mainly by the fare conditions of the airline or travel supplier. Promotional and restricted fares frequently have little or no refund value.
We can process a cancellation or refund request where:
Refunds, credits, exchanges and future travel credits remain subject to the rules and procedures of the airline or supplier. The time taken to process them differs from one provider to another.
Some requests made after ticketing need extra coordination with the airline or supplier. Typical examples are special meals, wheelchair assistance, seating requests, help with name corrections, baggage matters, schedule-change support and other particular travel needs.
These services are normally arranged on a request basis. They depend on the airline's availability and approval and on the fare rules. A service fee may be charged where additional processing or assistance is involved.
Before a post-ticketing request can be reviewed or processed, SkySparrows or the supplier may need supporting documents. What is required depends on the request.
| Request Type | Possible Documentation |
|---|---|
| Name Correction | A copy of the traveler's passport, government-issued ID or another accepted document showing the correct name. |
| Visa or Passport Issue | The visa refusal notice, passport paperwork or other evidence relevant to the situation. |
| Baggage Claim | Baggage tags, receipts, claim reference numbers and related documents. |
| No-Show Request | Documents explaining the circumstances, if the airline or supplier asks for them. |
| Denied Boarding | Written confirmation or other documentation issued by the airline or airport. |
| Duplicate Booking | Copies or details of each duplicate reservation so that the request can be assessed and processed. |
Where they are available, SkySparrows online tools let you view your booking, ask for eligible changes, check your cancellation options and use other reservation services yourself.
Which self-service options you see depends on the airline, the type of ticket, the itinerary, the status of the booking and the fare rules. Any service fee or supplier charge for a self-service transaction is displayed before you submit the request.
